Tropiques plays a unique type of music that could be described as hypno-jazz. Music is created from a semi-improvised entrance that often takes as its starting point simple fragments \u2013 bass lines and melodies that are repeated, shifted and re-orchestrated in the moment. This is music that allows the listener to be in and become together with the sounds. Through long curves, both musicians and listeners are almost put into a state of trance where we are taken on a journey among colors that gradually leak into each other and shift.
