SOL SOL. The name is taken from a work by the artist Öyvind Fahlström. The music is from the pens of Elin Forkelid and David Stackenäs. This is the ever-changing free jazz quartet that is not afraid to mix with either humor or other genres. The third and latest album Almost All Things Considered was released in the spring of 2024 and was met with praise from both the Swedish and foreign press. This is as much art as music, it is about pushing boundaries and challenging the aesthetics of music. Elin’s response to a tired comment about saxophone being the sexiest instrument: “not the way I play it”
