On September 21, the author Johannes Anyuru will come to Rörane Studio together with the artist Majdal Nateel and the musician and artist Salman Nawati. Voice, image and music as a counterforce to the brutality of the state of Israel’s ethnic cleansing of Palestine and what is currently taking place in Gaza, a state of emergency where all international law has been put in play.
In the book The Facts, the author Johannes Anyuru gives voice to living and dead poets from Gaza as well as South Africa’s genocide charges against Israel submitted to the International Court of Justice in The Hague.

In the book Faktan (Clandestino Institut 2024), poet Johannes Anyuru reproduces the brutal core of South Africa’s genocide accusations against the state of Israel that were submitted to the International Court of Justice (ICJ) in The Hague.
The book is based on a lecture in the so-called Gaza Park where students set up tent camps in the spring of 2024.
The facts summarized here in their nakedness, without the intricacies of legal jargon, are interwoven with poems by Palestinian poets who, with few exceptions, were killed in the bombings.
